This table features four sliding dovetail joints connecting the two primary sections to the cross grain pieces at the center and ends. This joint permits seasonal expansion and contraction of the large panels without stressing the joint or compromising the integrity of the table. The base is made of wrought iron and was supplied by the client. Finished in conversion varnish. Seats ten to twelve.
